Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic School enables all children to reach their full potential and future success by using their God given talents in the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Accelerated Reader – Renaissance Home Connect
The updated AR program now allows parents and students to access certain aspects of the St. Charles Borromeo School’s Accelerated Reading program at home on any computer with an Internet connection. HOME CONNECT improves the school-to-home connection by allowing parents and students to log in to a web site and view the student’s reading progress. Parent and student are now able to see which books the student has taken a test on and the scores of each test taken! AR tests WILL NOT be taken at home. In addition, parents can specify up to six email addresses to receive automatic updates on a student’s AR reading progress.
A feature of Home Connect is the AR Bookfinder. Bookfinder will tell parent and student which books have Accelerated Reading Tests and which don’t, the reading level or book level of each book, the number of AR points per book, and a short summary of each AR book. AR Bookfinder may be accessed through the Home Connect website or here: www.arbookfind.com
Requirements for reading AR books and the number of points to be earned varies by each grade. Please contact your teacher for more information.
