Volunteer Opportunities

1 Corinthians 12:4-12 ...there are different kinds of gifts, but they are all from the same Spirit. There are different ways to serve but the same Lord to serve. And there are different ways that God works through people but the same God. God works in all of us in everything we do, and ... though there are many parts to a body, all those parts make only one body. So it is with Christ.

St. Charles Borromeo School welcomes parents, parishioners, and community members to volunteer their time and talents for and with the school students. Annually, a list of volunteer opportunities is compiled. The 2016-2017 school volunteer packet with descriptions of activities and dates is available by clicking here.

To comply with the United States Bishops' Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People, all adults who will be working with young people in our Catholic Schools and Parishes, must submit to certain safety measures to ensure our children are safe.

All adult volunteers must submit to a limited history background check every five years. Please download a PDF of the supplemental authorization and release for background check information which needs to be completed and returned to the school office. (first time or five-year renewal check)

In addition to the background check, all adults must read and acknowledge with signature (one time only) the Personal Conduct and Policies Manual for the Fort Wayne - South Bend Diocese. Click here to access this manual and for the acknowledgment form in receipt of this. The form needs to be returned to the school office.

Lastly, all adult volunteers must watch and acknowledge with signature (one time only), the Safe Environment Training Video presented by the Bishop. Click here to view the Bishop's video at the bottom of the page. Download the PDF here to acknowledge this viewing, and return this to the school office.
