Dear Parents and Students - I hope you are well! Much has transpired since our writing last Friday. This has been a week of sadness, celebration, fellowship, and faith. We continue to pray for the soul of Suzanne Tippmann, husband Tom, daughter Melanie, and all the children, grandchildren, her mother, her siblings, and all her family so saddened by her passing. What a blessing Suzanne was to her family as witnessed by the outpouring of prayer, support, and friendship. Great loss and love, and hope and strength as the family moves forward together in grief, healing, and life.  Eternal rest grant unto Suzanne, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. - Amen.

Congratulations to our 7th grade Girls Basketball Team and our 8th grade Girls Basketball Team! Both our Girls’ Teams competed for CYO Championships last night in hard fought battles. Our 7th girls lost a heartbreaker to St. Jude in the opener, finishing as Runners Up in the league and tournament. Our 8th girls then played in the evening closer, scrapping until the end against St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Despite great effort, they fell in the end, also taking the Runner Up trophy in the tournament and league. Thank you to our young ladies for representing our school so well, and thank you to all of our coaches and parents for their time, guidance and support throughout the season.  We are very proud of you!

If you have not had the chance, please re-enroll your students by February 18th - This coming Friday!!! We have strong numbers enrolled in PreK and Kindergarten, and we are beginning to enroll new families for next year.  I know everyone gets busy, but please, if you have not had the opportunity as yet, read through the enrollment steps on page 2, and make sure to save a placement for next year.  Thank you for choosing St. Charles for your children and thanks for your support and prayers!

Borromeo Bash 2022, held last Saturday, was a beautiful continuation of family and friendship, as we began with recognition of the loss of Suzanne with Fr. Tom leading over four-hundred in prayer and remembrance. We then broke bread together and moved forward with the evening. A lovely evening overall! Thank you to all who attended, to our donors and sponsors, to John and Angie Ceruti, our volunteers, our generous bidders, and our hard working BB Committee!  Through the generosity of all, we are grateful to announce we surpassed our initial goal, and after finalizing accounts, should be near $80,000 to the good. I cannot say enough about the faithfulness and generosity of our Parishioners and Friends of St. Charles. Thank you for another successful evening of fellowship, caring, kindness, and fun!  A final word about the evening, as we begin planning for next February, I would like to thank Chris and Roby Kaufmann for taking over the duty of Chairpersons for next year. They will continue with their good work. Which brings me to the need to recognize and thank the outgoing Chairpersons, Matt and Kari Smith.  Simply said, with Kari and Matt’s leadership, vision, and excellent organization, friendly networking, and tireless work, Borromeo Bash would not have gotten off the ground, let alone just celebrated the fourth successful iteration.  From all in our School and Parish - ‘Thank You & Well Done!” Sincerely - Rob S.
