Dear Parents and Students - I hope you are well! I look forward to seeing many of you at the Borromeo Bash Saturday night, which promises to be an exciting evening of food, drink, fun, and community. Remember, if you cannot attend in person this year, if you are interested, you can still go online, look over the auction items, and bid remotely if you like. Much thanks to all who have prayed for the success of this event, donated items, volunteered to work the event, and all of our Borromeo Bash Committee members who have been working so hard behind the scenes to make the event happen. Proceeds from this year’s event will help with a window renovation project for all of our classrooms in the main hallway, grades 3-8. We are working on installation of the new windows over the summer. Once completed, we can then turn our attention and funding towards restroom renovations.
In researching some computer curricular materials this week, I came upon the Neptune Navigate website and found the parent resources to be well thought out. Raising children is not always easy. I have shared some resources from the site on page 2 that you may find useful. The 5-Step Action Plan has a thoughtful video that explains the reasoning behind the steps. Take a look and if you find even one idea that may be helpful, then it will have been time well spent!
In closing, as we wrap up Catholic Schools Week, I want to thank everyone - our Catholic Schools Week Committee, Sr. Genevieve, the Matthews Family Donut Directors, Maintenance, HASA, Borromeo Bash Committee, Teachers, Staff, Students, Priests, Parents, and Parishionersfor for making the week so enjoyable. We had great weekend Mass readers, donuts, dressing up, treats, meals, friendships, notes of encouragement and joining together for Masses, Adoration, and prayer! So appreciative of all the effort and volunteerism that goes into making our Catholic School successful. I don’t want to get all emotional, but it is a blessing to be part of the experience. We are not perfect - no family is - but we are working for the good every day. Thank you for your children! -Rob S.
