Dear Parents and Students - On behalf of all in our school, we would like to welcome Deacon Rob Lortie as we are thankful that he has been assigned to St. Charles. Deacon Lortie is one of 18 new deacons ordained by Bishop Rhoades last Saturday -story here. Deacons can assist at the Eucharistic liturgy, proclaim the Gospel, preach homilies, administer Baptism, witness marriages, lead vigils for the deceased and funerals, and more. Say ‘Hello’ when you see him and be sure to Welcome Deacon Lortie!
Many events this week, so please review the highlights below & read further details in this newsletter:
1. PreK & Kindergarten Registration takes place this Tuesday, January 17th. Registration will be held in the afternoon from 1:15-2:30 p.m. in Rooms C & D of the Hession Center, or you may attend the evening session from 6:00-7:00 p.m. All parents are asked to park in the rear of the school in the church parking lot and enter through door # 3 near the gym. If unable to attend, please call the school office (484-3392) to arrange for an alternate registration day. More details on pg. 2.
2. TRIVIA NIGHT! How many States begin with the letter ‘I’? Our Home And School Association (HASA) is sponsoring adult TRIVIA NIGHT This Saturday Night! A few tables are still available. Sign-up information & more HASA News on pg. 5.
3. Parents, with winter, school closings due to hazardous weather are inevitable. We do have some built in ‘Snow Days’ but we will also use eLearning Days as needed. Please review the eLearning protocols found on page 2.
