Dear Parents! K of C Fish Fry Tonight!
I hope you are well! Most area schools are weekly dismissing early (one hour) or delaying weekly (one hour) to build in time for teachers to collaborate and carry out needed training & professional development. We have been conducting a few one-hour delays for meetings this year and a few early dismissals to coordinate multi-school curricular meetings this year. We are going to build in either one-hour delays or early releases consistently next year. We need consistent time to collaborate as a faculty and staff.
Bishop Dwenger has a one-hour delay every Wednesday. We have considered following their schedule and holding delays at the same time they delay. This would require us to change our Mass attendance on Wednesdays, either attending on Monday vs. the current Wednesday, or combining students in our Mass groupings. We will have to discuss options there. I wanted to share a bit of the thought process so that you understand the reasoning behind any future decision. We will finalize and communicate the delay days for next year by mid-April.
In closing, a) barring any crazy weather events from here until the end of the school year, we are looking towards our final day of school for students in PK-7 being Wednesday, May 24th. b) What an excellent Spring Big Bad Musical was presented last night! Kudos to our 6-8 grade students who made up the Cast & Crew and to the Directors & make-up/wardrobe technicians. So much talent putting in so much hard work made the evening come alive! We are very proud of all of you!  -Rob S.  P.S. Both juries (those in attendance at the Dress Rehearsal and last night’s audience), after much deliberation, found the Big Bad Wolf innocent of all charges!
