St. Charles Craft Fair! - The Fine Arts Boosters are sponsoring our annual Craft Fair again this Saturday, November 4th, throughout the school building. Registrations are currently being accepted for vendors; there are 150 vendors registered to sell their homemade items, which is fantastic! Please mark your calendars to attend 8:30-2:00. If you have time to assist with set-up, clean-up, or concessions, please contact stcharlescraftfair@gmail.com. All income from this marvelous event benefits our students’ Fine Arts’ programs in the areas of art, music, and drama.
In the past, proceeds have been used to purchase our original kiln and to upgrade it a few years ago. Regular maintenance is provided through these funds as well as participation in the FAME festival. Funds have been used to assist with our general music program and to update equipment and instruments. Used instruments have been purchased to assist our beginning orchestra and band students. Additionally, the funds raised have been used to bring various programs to our school. Stevens’ Puppets come annually with a show for our younger students. In January, we will finally finish our piano keyboard lab for all Music classes to enjoy second semester.

Dear Parents and Students
A Beautiful Mass Wednesday morning for the Feast of All Saints Day! 4th Grade looked smashing! A robust, joyful celebration! Thank you to our 4th grade Teachers, Staff, and Students for your hard work and to all who made the day special!
Congratulations 8th grade students on your Confirmation! Also, on Wednesday evening - Bishop Rhoades led a lovely Mass, calling down the Holy Spirit to fill the minds and souls of our young adults! We are very proud of our students! Thank you to Mr. Heimann, Ms. Johns, Mrs. Stolts, Fr. Bobby, our students for your hard work! Well done!
Congratulations & Thanks are in order for all of our fall sport athletes, parents, and coaches!
I want to thank all of the volunteer Coaches and Athletic Board members for working daily to provide a positive, stable, safe, and encouraging environment for our athletes and their families. Much, much appreciated!
To our students, thank you for participating in our programs, and using your talent and effort, to bring glory to our school. We might not win every game, meet, or match, but just having students who want to wear ST. CHARLES across their chests and go out and compete for school, family, and God is victory enough. So thank you.
Thank you to our parents, who take on the role of schedulers, chauffeurs, nutritionists, and spiritual advisors to ensure that their children have a chance at success. Without you, the ambitions of our young people would fall into a dark, despairing world of empty water bottles, shattered dreams, & baskets of horrendously smelly socks, knee pads, shoes & jerseys! And now, a roll call team praise!
Cross Country: Both our Boys and Girls Teams, the CARDEAGLES, had outstanding seasons, consistently placing in the top five of meets throughout the year.  Both placed first in their final meet of the season at Shoaff Park! Congratulations Champs!
Football: Our Varsity 7th/8th Team played tough all year, taking on all comers. The men lost a close battle in the semifinal round of the tournament, but it was a very successful season overall!
Our 5th & 6th grade football teams excelled all year, ending the year as undefeated CYO champions! Watch out next year!
Volleyball: Our four teams were strong throughout the regular season, coming up just short in their season-ending tournaments. Bump, set, spike! Keep an eye on the ladies next year as they have a few scores to settle!
Cheerleading: Rain, wind, or shine our young ladies turned out to faithfully cheer on their teams! I know the athletes enjoyed the support and appreciated your enthusiasm. Thank you ladies! Keep up the good work!

In closing - We will be collecting money all next week to donate to the Franciscan Center to assist in providing Thanksgiving meals for families in need! Anything you can do to help, from 25 cents to a dollar, is appreciated! Our Friday collections of the past two weeks towards this goal now total just over $450. Our goal is $900 by next Friday. When we reach this goal, students will have an out-of-uniform day to celebrate our school’s teamwork! Thank you for your children! Sincerely - Rob S.
